Most hybrids are typically odd looking in their design, however the 2019 Honda Insight bucks that look. Born from the small Honda Civic, the Honda Insight emerges as a great looking sedan with exceptional hybrid efficiency.
If you’re wanting the money saving benefits of a hybrid but not driving the typical distinct odd looking design of a hybrid, then-the tastefully styled 2019 Honda Insight could be the Hybrid for you.
My favorite feature on the 2019 Honda Insight is the 8 inch infotainment screen which is standard on the EX and touring trims. This nifty 8 inch screen is easy to use with interface, features Apple CarPlay and Android auto smartphone connectivity and unlike Hondas of the recent past, includes a volume knob as nature intended.
In typical Honda fashion, premium features on this Insight include smart entry with walk-away auto locks, 60/40 split rear seat backs, a center armrest, remote engine start, Honda’s lane watch blind spot camera, an external trunk release.
For the money, the EX/Touring is the sweet spot in the lineup. Those craving heated leather seats, embedded navigation, a 10 speaker premium audio system and a moonroof will find satisfaction in the top level touring package.
The 2019 Honda Insight’s efficiency comes from the 1.5-liter Atkinson 4 cylinder engine, a lithium-ion battery pack, and Honda’s 2 motor hybrid drive system. Packing a combined 151 horse power and 197 FT-LB of torque combined.
Safety features include:
Driver’s and Front passengers airbags
Driver’s and Front passengers side airbags
Side curtain Airbags with rollover sensors
Vehicle stability Assist (VSA)
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)
