The sight of more than 40 Longhorn cattle walking through the streets of downtown Denver can only mean one thing…it’s Stock Show time. Come see the streets of downtown Denver lined with boots, chaps and cowboy hats to celebrate Colorado’s western traditions and our iconic show on Thursday, January 10th from Noon to 1:30 p.m.. Kids, families, business men and women get to step back in time and see a true western cattle drive with horses, cowboys, cowgirls, tractors, marching bands and floats. The parade starts at Union Station and runs down 17th Street. For more info, visit www.nationalwestern.com/special-events/parade/.

Filled with cultural pageantry, the Mexican Rodeo Extravaganza features bull riding, bareback riding, trick roping and Mariachis. All of which is choreographed by Charro Jerry Diaz, a fourth-generation champion charro. Two separate performances at 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the National Western Complex, 4655 Humboldt St, Denver, on Sunday January 13th.

Join the Denver International Sportsman’s Expo on Thursday January 10th to Sunday January 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to see the Conqueror Line of Off-Road trailers. ISE has produced America’s premier sportsman’s and outdoor shows in the western United States since 1975. Germs are taking over the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery. Okay, not real germs we hope, just lessons about them. With fun learning stations all over the gallery, you can better understand what germs are, how they spread, and why they make us sick. Brave the January cold (season) and learn all about these pesky microbes, on Saturday January 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Museum Takeover is a monthly series where we deep dive into a particular subject with fun and educational activity stations in the exhibit gallery. Activities are open to all ages, but recommended for children 5 and older. Museum Takeover activities are included with admission/membership.

El Pueblo History Museum is proud to announce Beyond Story Time. Join them every Monday at 10 a.m. at the El Pueblo History Museum, 301 N Union Ave., for a half-hour story time that offers an engaging early-literacy exploration for kids ages 0-4 and their caregivers. We will learn about the people, places, animals, landscapes and cultures that make Pueblo and Colorado so special. Our team of museum educators will lead stories, songs, crafts and activities to enrich young lives and build connections to our community. Plus, families who come for Beyond Story Time will get free admission for the day to the museum! Beyond Story Time is sponsored by EPIC Pueblo.
