Join Museo de Las Americas for ‘THE AUTHOR WALKS’. This exhibit will provide stories and aspirations of justice of Felipe Huaman Poma de Ayala who walked from Ayacucho to Lima and delivered an important manuscript of 1,188 pages and 398 drawings to the King of Spain. . This exhibit is free for Members, $8 general admission for children under 13, $5 for students, senior or military. This exhibit will be at Museo De Las Americas, 861 Santa Fe Dr. from Thursday, February 28 to Sunday, March 10. Visit for more information.

Women in Art at Women in Kind is the first of an annual exhibition series celebrating art by, for and about women. Spend International Women’s Day NIGHT at Women In Kind, enjoying an amazing, juried art exhibit benefitting Mi Casa Resource Center. The exhibit will showcase women artists and their creative exploration of issues around gender equality, empowerment and innovation in keeping with the 2019 IWD theme of Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change. This event will be held on Saturday March 8, at Women in Kind, 3899 Jackson St. from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Peruvian Food Expo is a fundraiser to benefit Backpacks of Hope, a project to bring hope and opportunity to children in extreme poverty in Peru. Attending this expo, you will sample the mouthwatering cuisine of Peru prepared by authentic Peruvian hands, play a Peruvian game with your family, create a Peruvian craft, write a letter of encouragement to a child or a teacher in Peru, and more.
