Several sponsoring organizations are joining forces to produce a Military and Veterans Employment Expo (MVEE) at the Heritage Events Center, 14401 E. Exposition Ave., Aurora. All Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve Members, Veterans and their spouses are urged to attend. The April 10, MVEE is one of the biggest hiring events in Aurora!

April 10: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Meet with Employers

A hiring event will be offered to active duty service members, Guard and Reservists, Veterans, and their spouses. Representatives from several companies will be participating, all with job openings. More than 1500 job opportunities will be available. More jobs will be available on the website.

The general public is invited to attend this hiring fair starting at 12:00 p.m. “It is good business to hire Veterans and service members as the military workforce is a valuablesource for finding highly qualified employees. Their military background provides them with skills in leadership, teamwork; and they can perform under pressure. VA is committed to hiring Veterans, service members in the Guard or Reserves, as well as their spouses and survivors. Over half of Denver VARO employees have served,” stated Renaye Murphy, Director, Denver VA Regional Office.

The Denver VARO, City of Aurora, ArapahoeDouglas Works! Workforce Center, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), Colorado National Guard and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, and the Heritage Events Center, work together on this event. These community partners are intent on helping military Veterans, service members, Guard and Reservists, and their spouses, apply their skills learned in the service to civilian careers. Special thanks go to the City of Aurora for hosting the Expo.
