Join Su Teatro as they feature ‘Northside,’ a story about two couples who vie to buy Mrs. Lujan’s home, as the rapidly gentrifying neighborhood is now appealing to suburban dwellers, Teo and Luna must fight to return to where they grew up and are now being priced out of home ownership. A tale of where the heart lives. Debut play by Bobby LeFebre. This play will be featured at Su Teatro from June 12 through June 30. Visit www.suteatro.org for more information.

Join the Rodolpho “Corky” Gonzales Library, 1498 Irving St. for the screening of “Singing Our Way to Freedom,” on Wednesday June 5th, an award-winning documentary on the life and music of Chicano musician, composer and community activist, Ramon “Chunky” Sanchez. This event is free and open to the public. The screening will be followed by Q&A with filmmaker Paul Espinosa and movimiento music. Trailer at www.chunkyfilm.com. Library opens at 10 a.m.

Spend Memorial Day weekend touring the 8-acre Centennial History Museum (live museum), 1475 A St. in Greeley on Saturday May 25, and Sunday May 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out blacksmithing, historical house tours and more. Opened during the nation’s bicentennial in 1976, Centennial Village Museum preserves and interprets American western heritage in the Colorado high plains region over the last 150 years. Some of Weld County’s oldest structures are located in this museum.

Spend some time under the stars with the Southern Colorado Astronomical Society, in partnership with CSU-Pueblo for the grand re-opening of the Observatory with Night at the Observatory, 5200 Nature Center Rd. in Pueblo.
