Four Mile Historic Park is delighted to partner with the City of Glendale and the Glendale Chamber of Commerce for our Annual Independence Celebration on Tuesday, July 2 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Four Mile Historic Park, 715 S. Forest St. in Denver. This year’s event promises to thrill guests at every turn with live music, pioneer games, food trucks, and fireworks at sundown all included with general admission. New this year, we are also partnering with Swallow Hill to present That Damn Sasquatch for a live performance, offering face painting for kids, and a demonstration from the 1st Colorado Infantry.

Independence Day in Loveland just got a little more spark. The City of Loveland Parks & Recreation Department’s July 4 Festival at North Lake Park, 2750 N. Taft Ave. will be bigger and better than ever. Colorado band The Burroughs is headlining the event. Tunes from the Battle of the Bands competition earlier in the day can be heard over beers sipped inside the Beer Garden. Kids can get their red, white and blue on in the Kids’ Zone with face painting, July 4 swag, games from the Mobile Recreation Trailer and SNAG golf demos. Plus, kids are invited to decorate their bikes and scooters and enter the Bike Parade – strollers are welcome, too. Train rides run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. courtesy of the Loveland Lions Club.
