As of Wednesday, July 17, CDOT selected Kraemer North America as the contractor for the Eastbound US 36 Emergency Rebuild project. By Thursday morning, the project team began meeting to discuss options for the design of the project.
In the meantime, while the design phase continues, crews from Kraemer and CDOT spent the weekend working on removal of the damaged retaining wall. Crews are continuing this work today and will be doing so throughout the week. The site is being monitored at all times to ensure continued safety for the traveling public.
A bike detour is in place. Bicyclists can take Uptown Avenue to 112th Avenue, 112th Avenue east to Westminster Blvd., and then take a right on Promenade Drive N. to get back on the bike trail.
