A Taste of Colorado produced by the Downtown Denver Partnership is in full swing Labor Day weekend, August 31st, September 1st and 2nd. With a larger main stage, bigger national entertainment, VIP experience with private main stage viewing platforms and exclusive food and beverage offerings as well as an expanded Kids Zone, this year’s festival is a must see. The festival continues its 36-year tradition of being the largest free admission food and music festival in Colorado attracting over 500,000 attendees. A Taste of Colorado has something for everyone with over 50 food vendors, 175 marketplace vendors, a Kids Zone experience with arts, crafts & a children’s entertainment stage and the elevated music experience with a larger main stage featuring over 25 national and regional musical acts. This free weekend event will satisfy your ears and taste buds with a lineup of fabulous live music and incredible selection of food.

Labor Day Weekend (Monday, September, 2) is Louisville’s biggest community celebration of the year, located at 801 Grant Ave. in Louisville. In addition to the Louisville Labor Day Parade, the celebration also includes an all-day festival at Memory Square Park. Labor Day Fall Festival features the Homemade Pie Contest, and a variety of FREE family-friendly activities including concerts from Jeff and Paige, magic shows, balloon twisting, and free swimming at Memory Square Pool. Children’s activities include face painting, Henna tattoos, bounce houses and inflatable fun. Winners of the Labor Day Parade will be announced at 1 p.m. and trophies will be awarded.
Be one of the first in the nation to see this movie outside. “Avengers: Endgame” will be shown, for free, on the Practice Fields, north of Cornerstone Event Center on the Greeley Campus, 5401 W 20th St. Seating opens at 7:15 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk (approx. 8 p.m.). Join special guest and renowned expert Wilton Nsimongo of Painted Dog Conservation on Monday, September 2 at the Pueblo Zoo in Zimbabwe and learn about these complex, beautiful, and unique canines. Enjoy donuts and refreshments along with Wilton’s talk, then head over to the African painted dog exhibit for special enrichment activities, a keeper talk, and more. Zoo keepers will be creating themed enrichment items for the dogs and will be sharing their experiences with our dogs, the zoo’s role in conservation, and more. This event is included with standard zoo admission and is free for Pueblo Zoo members. All ages welcomed. Donuts for human consumption are limited to the first 50 attendees. Donations will be accepted for Painted Dog Conservation.
