The deadline for scholarship applications has been extended to October 17, 2019.
Part of CoAAA’s ongoing mission is to strengthen the aerial application industry by providing funds for flight training or higher education for aspiring aerial application pilots and/or support positions in the industry.
This year, flight training scholarship(s) will be provided in memory of Alfred “Butch” Graves. Butch enjoyed a successful 40 seasons flying ag aviation in Colorado and South Dakota. When Butch passed away last month his family wanted to honor his legacy by helping to provide opportunities for new pilots in ag aviation. The family requested that all donations in memory of Butch be made to the CoAAA Scholarship Fund.
Colorado Agricultural Aviation Association Scholarship will be awarded annually. Any persons submitting a resume application to the Colorado Agricultural Aviation Association will be eligible for this award. Candidates should demonstrate a genuine interest in agricultural areas such as agronomy, research, chemistry, or ag law that promotes or supports the Agricultural Aviation Industry. Non-traditional students are also encouraged to apply. Letters of recommendation will be accepted along with the resume application but are not required.
The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior attending a higher education institution or any persons using the funds for continuing flight education in order to support the agricultural aviation industry. This scholarship is worth one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) and is payable to a higher education institution (includes four year colleges, 2 year college programs, or Agricultural Trades certificate programs) or flight operation/ instructor of choice.
The CoAAA Board of Directors may vote to vary the amount or award more than one scholarship on an annual basis. Applications must be postmarked no later than October 17, 2019 and must be submitted to:
