WORDS TO LIVE BY

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Eleanor Roosevelt

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

De Leon has volunteered through involvement in cheerleading, gymnastics and the National Honor Society which requires a minimum of 40 hours of volunteering. De Leon has volunteered her time for Race for the Cure, Rock’n Roll Marathon as well as hosting a craft table at the Block Party Salvation Army.

WHY IS COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IMPORTANT?

“Because it allows me to provide support to those who are less fortunate. It also gives me the opportunity to understand the challenges we face as a society, which further motivates me to continue giving back.”

IF I COULD IMPROVE THE WORLD I WOULD...

“I would encourage more minority students to challenge themselves academically and go to college to get higher wages, better jobs, and access to more opportunities.”

COLLEGE OF CHOICE

“My top three colleges are Regis University, University of Denver, and the University of Colorado at Boulder.”
