Celebrate and contribute to the joy of Dr. King’s message with the Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. Marade: “A Day On Not A Day Off: Renewed Dedication to Humanity.” The marade starts at 9:30 a.m. The Marade Schedule: Monday, January 20 at City Park. At 9:30 a.m. the program commences, followed by Laying of the Wreath at 10:30 a.m.; 10:45 a.m. Step Off to downtown; 12 p.m. - 1 pm Entertainment, Awards and Celebration; 1 p.m. Help clean up at the park. Thanks to the citizens who support the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District - SCFD, we’re proud to make the Zoo accessible to our guests for seven days each year free of charge. Mark your calendars for the upcoming SCFD Free Days. Friday, January 10; Saturday, January 18; Sunday, February 2; Thursday, April 9; Tuesday, October 20; Tuesday, November 10; and Saturday, November 14. Arrive early. The Zoo is often less busy first thing in the morning, and the animals tend to be more active.
