PROFILE

Alondra Bahena-Reza is a high school senior at Strive-Prep Excell High School who currently holds a 4.189 GPA. Bahena-Reza has been awarded the “physician award,” for physics, La Estudiente Estrella for AP Spanish and “The most curious student,” for Anatomy and Physiology.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Bahena-Reza has volunteered her time at the Ronald McDonald House, The Gardens of St. Elizabeth, Habitat for Humanity Workshops, and for the Denver Rescue Mission.

WHY IS COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IMPORTANT?

“Being heavily involved with my community is important to me. I believe that helping people allows communities to grow stronger and I believe that strong communities are built one person at a time.”

IF I COULD IMPROVE THE WORLD I WOULD...

“I would improve the wolrd by creating an eco-friendly medicine accessible to everyone including people in impoverished areas. Helping our world’s health through science will build strong minds and environments as well as strong relationships between humans and earth.”

COLLEGE OF CHOICE

Bahena-Reza has been accepted to the Colorado School of Mines, the University of Colorado at Denver the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and has applied to Tufts University, Colorado State University, and Stevens Institute of Technology. Bahena-Reza would like to enter the Colorado School of Mines chemical engineering program.
