CENTENNIAL WELCOMES IKEA
Last month Saunders Construction began groundwork for the only development of IKEA in the state of Colorado. Centennial will be home to the 415,000 square foot warehouse store, which is expected to open in the fall of this year. The store’s location is ideal for travelers entering and leaving Denver strategically located west of Interstate 25 near Park Meadows. The store is expected to hire 400 employees when it opens giving them access to full benefits, with vacation and 401(k). FT. LUPTON SUPPORTS SMALL BUSINESS
The city of Ft. Lupton and a Small Business Development Center are in the works for providing small business owners with free classes twice a month on the second and fourth Monday, allowing them to sit down with counselors who have experience in small business development. The classes are for both existing business owners and newly forming business owners.
A GREEN COMMERCE CITY
Commerce City business is leading the way in clean energy after installing a 100kW solar rooftop. Douglass Colony Group, based in Commerce City will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 19 at their location in Commerce City. Visitors will have access to the rooftop to see the newly installed system. Solar energy has recently become a thriving business in Colorado and companies like Douglass Colony Group are pioneering the clean energy movement in the Rockies. Douglass Colony Group is estimated to save the company more than $10,000 each year from their clean energy installation.
