On Monday, June 17 the Denver Public Library Commission held a community meeting to discuss the 2014 Library budget, which was followed by a convening of the Naming Committee for the new branch library in West Denver that will be located at the corner of W. Colfax and Irving streets.
The Naming Committee for the new branch library in West Denver met in preparation of the recommendation they will make to the Library Commission on June 20. During Monday’s community meeting, the committee recommended that the new library be named after both educator Lena Archuleta and Chicano activist Rodolfo “Corky” Gonzales.
The Library Commission will meet during their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, June 20, at 8:30 a.m. at the Central Library (B2 Conference Center) to discuss the recommendation from the Naming Committee.
