Coors Light is proud to announce that JoAnna Cintrón from Denver, Colorado, has been selected by a public vote as the 2015 Coors Light Líder of the Year. JoAnna will manage a $25,000 grant from Coors Light to implement a Latino leadership project for the Denver Film Society, a nonprofit organization that aims to develop opportunities and transform lives through film.
JoAnna was among 12 outstanding Latino leaders nominated by local and national nonprofit organizations for their leadership and contributions to their communities. Coors Light Líderes honors the importance of leadership in the Hispanic community and works to help up-and-coming Latino leaders maximize their potential. Through non-profit partnerships, signature programs and long-term investments that support economic development, Coors Light is helping to build stronger communities for everyone.“
It is an honor to be chosen to represent the Denver Film Society and CineLatino as the 2015 Coors Light Líder,” said JoAnna. “Coors Light is committed to investing in the professional development of emerging Latino leaders and I am excited to use the $25,000 grant to expand the Denver Film Society’s efforts to promote diversity in front of and behind the camera.”
JoAnna is the marketing and communications manager for the Denver Film Society. She is also the co-founder of CineLatino, an annual four-day festival dedicated to bringing the best Latino films and events to the community. JoAnna has always believed in the power of film to educate, entertain and empower. During high school, she recognized how film can also be an educational tool to promote literacy. In her professional and personal life, JoAnna continues to showcase Latino films and cultivate young Latino filmmakers in her Denver community.“
