WORDS TO LIVE BY

“I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best. “ -Marilyn Monroe

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Rivera works with her church and with NHS to volunteer with the community. Recently she helped with Santa’s little hackers where she helped adapt toys for children with disabilities. She also volunteers downtown to feed the homeless and will make “goodie bags” to pass out to those who cannot get into the shelter.

WHY IS COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IMPORTANT?

“Without everyone doing little things, things can’t get better. It is up to us to help.”

IF I COULD IMPROVE THE WORLD, I WOULD

“I would make social obligations go away. The trends and telling woman to do “fat challenges” should not be a thing we follow.”
