Special Olympics Colorado and Denver Zoo are hosting the Denver Splash & Dash as part of the annual Polar Plunge series in Denver’s City Park, on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 9:30 a.m. with a 5K race, before moving to Denver Zoo’s Conoco Pavilion at 11 a.m.

The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave will offer FREE admission in Morrison to celebrate the western legend’s 171st birthday on Sunday, February 26, from noon until 4 p.m. The annual celebration kicks off the opening of the museum’s newest exhibit, “A Better Place Could Hardly Have Been Chosen”, that highlights the debate over Buffalo Bill’s final resting place.

Rocky Mountain Public Media announces the premiere of a timely new documentary, Beyond Standing Rock, a co-production of Rocky Mountain PBS, inside Energy, and Fast Forward Films at the Sie Film Center 2510 E. Colfax, on Thursday March, 2 at 7 p.m. on Rocky Mountain PBS.

Denver Botanic Gardens’ survey of iconic American artist Alexander Calder’s bold sculptures will be featured at 1007 York St., from April 28 – September 24. It is the first outdoor show of Calder’s work in the west.

The Denver Rose Society’s annual symROSEium welcomes Colorado State University Entomologist Carol O’Meara to present program on how to care for rose gardens with the arrival of Japanese beetles and a presentation on new rose introduction. SCFD will offer free days April 2nd at the York St. Location and April 4th at the Chatfield Farms location.
