The Denver Museum of Nature & Science and CBS4, KCNC-TV, will host the third annual Girls and Science, at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd. for a one-day event on Saturday, March 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. All ages are welcome. Activities will be oriented to children ages 8 to 13.

Old Arvada will be hosting the St. Patrick’s Day Festival with live music, food & drinks with kids activities and more, at Grandview & Olde Wadsworth on Saturday, March 11, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Celebrate the Month of Photography with a special lecture series featuring Carol Golemboski (March 3), Andrew Beckham (March 17), Gary Emrich (March 23) and Benjamin Rasmussen (March 30) at the Denver Art Museum with dynamic site-specific installations of Mi Tierra: Contemporary Artists Explore Place the popular exhibition, Star Wars™ and the Power of Costume, and Then, Now, Next: Evolution of an Architectural Icon and Shock Wave: Japanese Fashion Design, 1980s-90s.

MOMS (Mothers of Multiple Societies) is hosting their annual The Kids Consignment Sale at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 500 Fairgrounds, Pkwy., in Castle Rock on Saturday, March 11, at 8:30 a.m. Visit www.mothersofmultiples.com for more information.

The School of Music, Theatre and Dance at Colorado State University presents the annual Concerto Competition at the Griffin Concert Hall, located at the University Center for the Arts, on Tuesday. Speaking Volumes: Transforming Hate, The Fort Collins Museum of Art and The Lincoln Center Gallery will co-present a provocative exhibition on the topics of hate, discrimination and violence - and the transformation towards justice, love and empathy at 417 West Magnolia, Fort Collins on Thursday March, 2 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Pueblo Ice Arena is now the only one in Southern Colorado to offer the “Laser Light Nights”. Along with ice skating, people can now enjoy a state of the art laser and LED light show. Laser Light Nights are every Friday and Saturday evenings, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Including skates, admission is $4.00 for students and $5.00 for adults. Drumming Around the Campfire Arts Center Musician-in-Residence Aavalajn will be in the Magic Carpet Theater at the Buell Children’s Museum, 210 N. Santa Fe Ave. in Pueblo on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, March 4, 18, April 1, 15, May 6, 20 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
