As the All-Star week wrapped up, the Colorado Rockies headed into the second half of their season with questions about the direction they’re headed in. This past weekend marked the return of the Rockies season with Colorado on the road in New York to face the Mets. Colorado appeared to be in the same place they’ve been since the end of June recording two consecutive losses in New York before winning game three.

Colorado then hosted the San Diego Padres Monday afternoon at Coors Field and after losing two consecutive games, Colorado mustered a win over the Padres giving them their first consecutive win since late of June. Two more games with the Padres remain before Colorado heads into the weekend for a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Rockies’ fans are hoping to see the return of a team that started out of the gate hot this season. This second half Colorado will try to climb their way back into the National League West standings as they remain 11 games behind the L.A. Dodgers at the time of this writing. Although 11 games behind the leading L.A. Dodgers, Colorado is on pace with the second-place Arizona Diamondbacks who are just a half game ahead of the Rockies.

In other sports, NFL fans are getting anxious with the start of football right around the corner. Denver fans are especially anxious with no clear indication as to who will lead the Broncos into the 2017/18 season as the battle for quarterback continues. Currently Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch are in a heated battle over the starting position under center and Bronco fans won’t have any idea as to who will be the starter until the second game of the preseason-- which begins in less than a month.
