The Brighton Chile Fest (formerly Denver Chili Fest) is Metro Denver’s premier festival celebrating the chile harvest. It’s a family-friendly event that’s tons of fun for all ages with a kid’s Fun Zone, great street eats, artisans and vendor booths, unique and locally sourced specialty food items, live music by Narrow Gauge, recipe contest, and of course, chiles galore with the largest selection available in the state of freshly roasted to order chiles. This even will be held at Lulu’s Farm, 13201 E. 144th Ave., in Brighton on September 9, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. For more information visit

The annual Sunnyside Music Fest is a family friendly day of free music in the park. There will be dozens of local vendors, wonderful libations and eats from around the state, and activities for the kids. All of this is topped off with a fantastic lineup of Colorado based musicians playing anything from bluegrass (the festival’s original roots) to blues, funk, jam rock and anything in between. The Sunnyside Music Fest will be held at Chaffee Park, 1900 W. 45th, in Denver on September 9, from 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. For more information visit

CRUSH WALLS is a week long event and celebration of graffiti and street art. This annual event is free and is great for all demographics and all ages to enjoy this outdoor curated gallery. With artists painting, activities for visitors, special promotions throughout the neighborhood. There is something for everyone at CRUSH WALLS, which will be held in RiNo’s signature graffiti and street art festival, 2901 Blake St., in Denver from September 11 through the 17, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Northern Colorado Latino Foundation Diversity Career Fair provides job seekers access to Northern Colorado’s largest pool of diverse organizations and businesses. These businesses are looking for multi-cultural and diverse staff. This includes Women, People of Color, Seniors, LGBTQ and People with Disabilities. The annual Chile & Frijoles Festival Presented by Loaf ‘N Jug‚ held each year is quickly approaching. The festival is sponsored by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and every year, thousands pay homage to two of the Pueblo area’s best loved crops – green chilies‚ particularly Pueblo chile‚ and frijoles or pinto beans. The event features music‚ arts and crafts‚ cooking competitions and chilies‚ chilies‚ chilies. Held downtown along Union Avenue‚ it draws Pueblo residents as well as people from across the state and around the nation on September 22 through September 24 from 3 p.m. to midnight Friday, from 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
