Mariah Y. Barraza is a Senior at Northglenn High School who currently holds a 3.6 GPA. Barraza was born in Durango Mexico, and came to the U.S. with her parents at a young age but was given an academic recognition at the age of 7 by, then Mayor John Hickenlooper (now Governor of Colorado). Barraza attributes her success in academics to her parents who have always supported her and pushed her to do better.
