Join us for the opening reception featuring works from the Abarca Family Collection. The exhibit Belleza Mexicana is co-curated in partnership with the students at the University of Colorado, Denver College of Arts and Media. The exhibition will be on display on Thursday, January 18th at the Emmanuel Art Gallery on the Auraria Campus 1205 10th St. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visit for more information.

The Denver Art Museum’s has a brand new theme and fresh opportunities to get creative. The 3-D studio will explore the expansive and varied realm of 3-D art. Use your design thinking skills to build an abstract sculpture at our Purely Paper activity, or draw inspiration from stampede. This activity will be held on Jan 20-21 located at 100 W. 14th Ave. Pkwy., from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. For more information visit

Su Teatro’s Youth Theater Company, El Teatro VolARTE has been selected to perform at the American High School Theater Festival in Scotland and they need your help getting there! Join us for a fun Saturday adventure in Black Hawk! The casino bus will pick up from Su Teatro at 1 p.m and will depart from Black Hawk at 6 p.m. The funds will go directly to the students to help get them to Scotland. You’re invited to attend a Cancer Awareness Education Series. Each month will be hosting guest speakers featuring important information on cancer awareness, prevention and healthy lifestyles. Women and supporters from across Southern Colorado will march and rally for women’s rights in Pueblo on Saturday, January 20th starting at 12 p.m. Meet in front of the old courthouse at 215 W. 10th St. Like others across the nation and around the world, Coloradans will gather to advocate for women’s rights. For parents on the road with children during the school year, “Homeschool Tips While Traveling” will be presented 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures.
