Clyfford Still’s art is nothing short of revolutionary. How can we capture the spirit of his paintings in words? Students in grades nine through 12 are invited to join the museum for a FREE ekphrastic creative writing session in partnership with Lighthouse Writers Workshop. Explore the Museum, learn about Still and Abstract Expressionism, and write in fiction, poetry, and nonfiction forms to discover all that Still’s art inspires. Register early; space is limited. Chase those winter blues away with a drop-in, self guided craft every Tuesday for 2 months! We will provide the materials needed to make the craft and a few sets of instructions. Show up anytime between 9:30am and 3:30pm and make n’ take your craft! Available supplies for the crafts may be slightly different than the photo provided in the example. This free event empowers youth to make healthy lifestyle choices through hands on cooking demonstrations by the Culinary Department at Pueblo Community College. These interactive cooking demonstrations will teach kids how to safely make healthy meals and snacks using simple and nutritious ingredients. The event will be held at Pueblo Community College in the Student Center, 900 W. Orman Ave., on Saturday, February 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
