Over the weekend, wrestling fans gathered at the Pepsi Center to cheer on their favorite high school athletes for the 2018 CHSAA State Wrestling Tournament. Schools as far south as Alamosa traveled to Denver to compete Saturday and families made the trek as well. Two-time State Champion in Class 4A, Greeley Central standout Junior, Andrew Alirez won his third state title. Alirez, a fan favorite will be heading into his last year at Greeley Central and hopes to bring home his fourth state title.

In other Sports the U.S. Mens Hockey team fell to the Russians who are not competing under the Russian flag after the International Olympic Committee banned Russia from competing in the 2018 Winter Olympics. Russian athletes are allowed to compete but not under the Russian flag.
