On July 4, the Denver Food Truck Rally Summer Series begins. Mile High Festivals and Two Parts invites the public to enjoy food from local trucks while listening to live music from local artists. It will start at 1 p.m. till 8 pm. at the Stanley Market Place. For more information, visit www.TruckStopRally.com.

El Museo de Las Americas invites the public to “Life Con Frida.,” to celebrate Frida Kahlo’s birthday. The event will be on July 6 at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be tacos, free beer, Frida merchandise, a selfie booth, live painting and performance art. The event is free. Every Thursday in July, Commerce City Cultural Council will be hosting a free concert series. Starting July 5, the series will kick off with the Chicano Heat Band at Pioneer Park on Holly Street. Each concert begins at 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. and will have several food truck vendors to enjoy. For more information visit

Start celebrating Independence Day early at the Stars & Stripes Celebration at Riverdale Regional Park. The event begins at 4 p.m. and will continue to 10 p.m. with musical fireworks at 9:30 p.m. There will be live music, family activities, food and drinks and much more. The Greeley Stampede, a celebration of the nation’s independence began June 22nd and will go till July 4th. The celebration has so many activities for all ages; from an educational Grizzly Bear show and exhibit to carnival rides and a rodeo. The carnival is $40 for a 1-day unlimited ride wristband. On July 4th at 9:30pm they will have a large firework display near island Grove Park. For more information about the two-week celebration visit www.greeleystampede.org.

Now till September 23, Sangre de Cristo Art Center in Pueblo will be exhibiting “A Journey into Imagimation”. The exhibit highlights the history of original animation production and artwork. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The fees are $6-$8 a person.
