Profile:

Luz Elena Parra-Ramirez is a high school senior at Antonito High School who holds a 4.0 GPA while being involved in sports. Parra-Ramirez’s academic achievements include National Honor Society, Honor Roll, and Destination Imagination. Parra-Ramirez received the following awards: 2021-2022 – 2nd Place State Destination Imagination, Published in Conejos Writers Circle; and in 2023 – Namaste Award Semester 2 and Most Focused 11th Grade Student. Parra-Ramirez served as Student Council President 2021- 2022, and in National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America (FFA) 2019-2020, and competed in the Knowledge Bowl 2021-2022. Parra-Ramirez sports include varsity volley- ball, basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, and track. Parra-Ramirez volunteers with Family Foundations in Conejos County.

Community Involvement: Parra-Ramirez is a member of the National Honor Society and Family Foundations community projects – clean up community and food drives.

College of choice: “Mesa Colorado University is my college of choice. I’ve been accepted at Adams State, Trinidad Junior College, CSU-Pueblo, and Mesa Colorado University.
