On August 10, 2026, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order on new guidelines for Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations that maximize parental choices over vaccinations for their children and align three categories of childhood immunizations with scientific evidence and best practices from peer, developed countries. The Order maximizes parental choice over childhood vaccines by promoting State compliance with constitutional and Federal law related to parental authority, religious freedom, disability accommodations, and equal protection under the law, including States’ obligations to provide religious and medical exemptions from childhood and adolescent immunization requirement.
Colorado Governor
Governor Polis verbally declared a disaster emergency in response to the 310 Fire, which is currently burning in Garfield County at more than 600 acres. Since June 27th Governor Polis has declared a disaster emergency in response to nine fires in the state and authorized the National Guard to assist in response. Currently across six large wildfires in Colorado there are over 850 firefighters actively fighting to protect Colorado communities.
Denver Mayor
The City and County of Denver has selected Korn Ferry, one of the world’s premier executive search firms, to conduct a global search for the next CEO of Denver International Airport (DEN). “DEN is one of our city’s greatest assets and a powerful driver of economic opportunity for our city, state and the entire region,” said Mayor Mike Johnston. “Selecting the right leader to guide the airport into its next chapter is one of the most important decisions we can make.” Mayor Mike Johnston will interview the finalists and expects to make a nomination before the end of the year.
