President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to temporarily allow off-road “dyed” diesel for highway use and defer the applicable Federal excise tax, lowering costs for Americans. The Order directs the Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs to encourage more States to adopt policies that correspond with the Secretary of the Treasury’s actions pursuant to this Order.

Colorado Governor
Governor Polis appointed Maria Gonzalez to represent House District 32. This appointment is effective immediately and fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Manny Rutinel. With this appointment, Gonzalez will serve until the convening of the first regular session of the General Assembly after the 2026 general election. Maria’s appointment ensures Commerce City and Adams County have full representation at the State Capitol should the legislature need to take any actions before the next General Assembly is sworn in next January. I thank Maria for stepping up and serving her community,” said Governor Polis.

Denver Mayor
Mayor Mike Johnston and Denver City Council Members Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez (At-Large), Paul Kashmann (D6), and Darrell Watson (D9) today announced the selection of 26 individuals to Denver’s Data Center Working Group. “It will be Denver not corporations — that decide if and how data centers may operate in our city,” said Mayor Mike Johnston. “This group brings together people with different perspectives to help us get this right: setting clear rules, protecting Denver’s resources, and putting the interests of Denverites first. Let’s get to work.”
