COLORADO PRIMARIES. . . And the winner is

The people of Colorado determined loud and clear that the experience of Senator John Hickenlooper was what drove their deciding vote. Sen. Hickenlooper won with a strong 57 percent of the vote. The up-and-coming candidate, State Senator Julie Gonzales appears to have established herself for a future political run.  Hickenlooper faces Republican challenger, Mark Baisley.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser has secured the Democratic nomination for Colorado Governor getting 55 percent of the vote.  Senator Michael Bennet trailed throughout the night. Weiser faces Republican Barb Kirkmeyer in November.

The democratic choice for Colorado Attorney General is former Secretary of State Jena Griswold. Griswold faces Republican challenger, Michael Allen in November.

In a historic win in Congressional District 1 Democratic candidate Melat Kiros has oust 30-year incumbent Diana DeGette. 

Amanda Gonzalez is the clear Democrat winner for Secretary of State and faces Republican challenger, James Wiley.

Newcomer Manny Rutinel winner in the 8th Congressional District outpaced incumbent Shannon Bird to secure the Democratic spot. Rutinel faces Republican Gabe Evans in November.
