The long-awaited Blue Wave hit the country last night as Mid Term Elections 2026 drew the biggest crowd of voters ever. The Democrats won both the House of Representatives and the Senate majority. The country spoke loud and clear against the Trump Administration as they sought a change in politics, perhaps an end to the war and ending high gas and grocery prices, tariffs, raising the minimum wage, and providing a health care plan for all Americans and more.
On the Colorado landscape, the results were–
Senator John Hickenlooper (Democrat) won reelection to a second term in Colorado’s U.S. Senate race, defeating state Senator Mark Baisley (Republican) and third-party candidate Bob Chew. The people of Colorado determined loud and clear that the experience of Senator John Hickenlooper was what drove their deciding vote. Sen. Hickenlooper won with a strong 60.03 percent of the vote.
Former Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser decisively defeated Victor Marx and multiple 3rd party candidates, getting 60.72 percent of the vote. Congratulations to Phil Weiser and Lesley Dahlkemper as Colorado’s next Governor/Lieutenant Governor.
Manny Rutinel (Democrat) defeats District 8 Representative Gabe Evans (Republican). Congratulations to Manny Rutinel.
District 4 Representative Lauren Boebert (Republican) is in a tight race with Eileen Laubacher. Laubacher currently leading with 99 percent of the votes in. A tense wait and see who wins this race.
Jason Crow, District 6 Representative, won a second term by a decisive 65.99 percent vote defeating Jason Clark.
Former Secretary of State Jena Griswold is the clear Democrat winner for Attorney General defeating Republican challenger, Michael Allen.
Jeff Bridges (Democrat) has been elected as the next Colorado State Treasurer defeating Kevin Grantham (Republican).
Amanda Gonzalez (Democrat) is the clear winner with 56.1 percent of the vote for Secretary of State defeating Republican challenger, James Wiley.
