For the first time since 1973 the New York Knicks take home the Larry O’Brien trophy after defeating the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 Saturday night, June 13, in an effortful matchup of two powerhouses.

Knicks newly titled legend Jalen Brunson scored an astonishing forty-five points on 14-27 shooting; fan favorite Josh Hart dominated the glass with eleven rebounds to combat Wemby’s fourteen rebounds.

After falling behind once again in the first half, the Knicks had their grit and hearts on full display as they simply would not accept defeat.

On the other side of the court, once again the Spurs failed to match their own expectations. Many online fans attribute the Spurs’ shortcomings to the countless lackluster performance displayed by Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox.  As many call for his termination from the Spurs’ roster, no moves have been announced. The only questions left now are “How will Fox adapt in this offseason, and if San Antonio wishes to revisit his contract?”
